Bull Hunters

A composition of my own based on cave art from southern France and northern Spain. The bull is an aurochs,
an ancestor of  Spain's fighting bulls, a six-foot tall monster that lived in the forests of Europe until the 1600's.

This design is meant to be a  "fragment" from a lost cave.

Airbrush and sgraffito on Quartzite
A smaller version on a beautful multi-colored piece of quartzite.
Swirls of gold, silver and bronze with tiny black freckles make a rich background for the figures.

Size  approx. 9.5" x 7.5”

Airbrush and sgraffito on “Fossil Sandstone

This stone has a lot of character with its bands of gold and “fossil” trees
lending the figures a background to cirlce each other in.

Size  approx. 12.5" x 14.5”
