What makes my cave art Simulated?

• My stone paintings are much smaller than the original European cave art (many of the animals were life-sized). My paintings can hang on the wall, you’d need an art thief and a fork lift to take a genuine cave painting home.

• I use a commercial light-stable water-based paint (although the same pigments as cave artists used) so that, if cared for, my paintings could last through ice ages to come. Paleolithic artists used a thick, pasty “crayon” or thin spittable paint made of finely crushed minerals and cave water with varying success.

• Some of the designs are modern interpretations of cave art, such as Two Bears, Owl and hunting scenes.

• My paintings are signed on the back.
